The Knowledge Review and Gap Analysis (KRGA) reports shed light on what is known about hunger and vulnerability in southern Africa and highlight areas where there are knowledge gaps. Covering the six focus countries, these reports present key findings on hunger and vulnerability (particularly those emerging out of national policy initiatives), summarise existing evidence, and offer recommendations for short- and longer-term policy interventions. The reports were commissioned by RHVP and were undertaken by national consultants. They are designed to promote best use of what is known about hunger and vulnerability in the region, ensure that duplication of work already done is avoided, and identify key gaps in knowledge.
