An initial task for RHVP's country co-ordinators was to consolidate accessible information on the current 'state of play' of social protection. From this data a set of inventories was prepared for each of the six countries. Each national inventory consists of five separate sections:
Inventory of existing information systems related to food security, early warning and vulnerability;
Inventory of key policies and strategies related to hunger and vulnerability, food security and social protection;
Inventory of social protection programmes;
Register of national stakeholders and potential partners;
Bibliography of existing knowledge on the state of hunger and vulnerability.
National Inventories are working documents and are by no means definitive. The series will be updated from time to time and we welcome information that will help us improve their completeness and accuracy.
