Call for papers: Poster Session and the ERD Conference: New Faces for African Development

The European Report on Development (ERD) is a multiannual process, which is the main outcome of the Mobilizing European Research for Development Policies initiative promoted and financed by the European Commission and seven EU Member States (Germany, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom). The first edition of the European Report on Development “Overcoming Fragility in Africa – Forging a New European Approach” has focused on the issue of fragility in its various dimensions, on its implications for development policies and on the approaches to tackle it. Selected applicants to last year “New Faces for African Development” initiative presented their work during an international conference in Accra, May 21-23 2009, and some of them have been invited to participate to the official launch of the ERD during the European Development Days in Stockholm, October 22-24 2009.
