Malawi: Project LISTEN

Project LISTEN Phase II is under implementation in partnership with Lilongwe and Mzuzu Catholic Development Commission in Malawi (CADECOM) in Kasungu district.
The project involves support for community livelihood assessments (CLAs) that assist the community and implementing partners to take stock of resources present in the areas with potential. On the basis of the CLA the community formulates a Community Action Plan to utilise the resources in a sustainable way to improve the lives of community members. Some small community livelihood projects emerging from the plan are funded by the project. The plan is to scale up to at least ten new communities.
